This, along with the guards band was my very first set of bods...I remember lining them up along the hall...then later using the heads as ammo for a 1/32nd scale metal howitzer...luckily some survived to tell the tale...maybe that´s why the stern faces! :-)
Eyes........Right!!! |
Funny, nice figures though.
ReplyDeleteThanks....wait till you see the guards band...lots of saxaphones, cymbals and trumpets..in fact an excellent brass section but not one guitar or electric organ in sight !! And they have the nerve to call themselves a band...really...:-)
ReplyDeleteCheers
Paul
Wow, I've never seen these painted before. My dad gave me his set when I was a kid and I never got around to doing anything with them. Nice paint work!
ReplyDeleteAn absolute classic, where it al began
ReplyDeleteOne day I will have this set, trooping the colour is something always to look forward to on TV :)
ReplyDeleteWell painted Paul!
How was the plastic after all these years? Has it held up well? They look surprisingly good for their age.
ReplyDeleteDimitri
Thanks everyone:-)
ReplyDeleteThe plastic is very good Dimitri, considering thier age. I have a set of British paras and and the Beduins which are pretty brittle...a bit like hard cheese.
Cheers
Paul
