Airfix American War of Independence British Grenadiers

The army that appears to be suffering from backache...a lot of them have very hunched poses...maybe that´s why the drummer in this set isn´t smiling.

  1. They've probably heard the final score already.
    Another great paint job.

  2. Nice stuff as always Paul.

Hunched depressed poses like that - a subliminal anti-colonial message from the sculptor maybe ? :-)

    Merry Christmas

  3. Could be incoming fire, bad diet or exhaustion.

  5. Horrible looking figures but very well painted.

Why are they all walking around as if they are carrying 10 tons of ballast on their shoulders?

  9. Fantastic painting as usual, Paul, although those old Airfix figs could only be useful in a War in Middle Earth :-D

  10. very nice job.. too bad that you made a mistake about the British flag which only included the english and the scottish flags on this time ( the irish red cross was added one century later)

    1. Thanks. The "Mistake" is deliberate ;-)In persuit of My Project to paint all the poses from every figure set Airfix ever made I use the box art from airfix as reference material, the colours shown, flags, badges etc, wether it´s historically correct or not.
The Airfix Box art for this set Shows the historically incorrect flag.
