Hat Late Roman Missile troops

Not a bad set, even if the plastic is a bit soft and "paint resistant"
The plumbatii and archers are already incorporated into my  late imperial roman army and only the crossbowmen and Scorpians were left to do.

  1. Great painted figures Paul! I like the colors you've used.
The only thing that surprises me, is that you didn't convert any of them!?

  2. Look not bad at all considering they didn't want to take paint.

  3. I stopped buying Hat minis a long time ago, because I didn't like the plastic either.

But you did a good job here.

  4. I often praise your bases too, and I want to again now, but something just struck me - is it possible you've used real mud on them, a clay maybe, or somehow wet the mix for the pics?

  5. Very nice as always, Paul. These guys look particularly "modern" - in the sense that they look so uniformed and disciplined. Best, Dean

  10. I got the same impression as Dean said, probably because the units are dressed the same. Those weapons would still work today too in case of barbarians or Huns and such.
