Elves? I´m not too keen on them myself...bit to "high and mighty" for my liking, so these got thier ears trimmed and have joined the human adventurers.
Ok...she lost her long pointy ears but the eyebrows are still a problem
An attempt at getting a nice glittery dress effect..
Alan Assassin aims an arrow accurately at an apple-
Thanks Richard. I´ve made a tutorial; http://paulsbods.blogspot.de/2010/10/bowstrings-in-172nd.html Although, for these I use plumers wool..the stuff they use to put on the thread to make the joint tight. Cheers paul
Hi Anne. Firstly, again, I hope all goes well tomorrow. To get the glittery effect i firstly painted the dress with purple mixed with black, 50-50. Then purple mixed with gold, about 1/4 pruple and 1/4 gold..then a very fine brush with gold, but very very fine. It works with silver and any colour you choose as well. I did it with blue and silver for my "Fairy horse" ; http://paulsbods.blogspot.de/2011/05/fairy-horse.html The assassins are only just created and are now at the molding stage..how long it will take until they appear I can´t say, but I hope it´s soon. When they do it, the link to the shop is on the right, Valdemar/ Fredericus.rex. Cheers paul
Thank you Paul. I'm going to be doing some serious shopping in about two weeks and am looking for some elegant, well-sculpted pieces and it doesn't matter what period they are from or if they're fantasy. These assassins would fit the bill nicely.
Damm!!!! Missed that...:-D I hope Anne doesn´t try it and wonder what the other 1/2 is meant to be... 3/4 purple and 1/4 gold ;-D She does look like a klingon..even with the ears she doesn´t look anything like an elf. Maybe a head swop is in order. Cheers paul
Pointy eared gits, those assassins are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI see that you've added cosmetic surgeon to your list of many talents! Another 'Wow!' from me with regard to the assassins too.
ReplyDeleteAmazing work. Paul are you using a fine fishing line for your bowstring? Tutorial if you have a moment please...
ReplyDeleteCheers
Thanks Richard.

Plumers wool!? What´s that? :-D Plumbers wool.
DeleteWhat did you use to get the glittery effect on the dress. I like those assassins a lot. Is there a link to where you got them?

DeleteBloomin' luvely!
ReplyDeleteLike the sparkly dress too!
Lovely piece of alliteration there Paul. Well done!
ReplyDelete1/4 purple + 1/4 gold = 2/4 missing!! :-D
ReplyDeleteGreat job... although, I'm a little surprised with that poorly dressed Klingon female! :-D
Specially liked Alan! Cheers!

cool. yes I agree elves are a bit high and mighty we need manly fantacy games where humans are the boss not some enlightened pointy eared pricks
ReplyDeleteReally nice everything, Paul. The assassins look to be a formidable force.
ReplyDeleteElves having their ears trimmed? Oh the shame of it. Mind you if you hadn't said I wouldn't have known they were meant to be Elves.
ReplyDeleteThe Assassins are looking very interesting
It's Paul, Mr. 'conversion-guy'!
ReplyDeleteI really like the effect on the second's figure dress. Shiny but not too much! :-)
THey look very nice Paul. I think I try a dress with GW Tin Blitz. I'm curious how it will come out.
ReplyDeleteThe elves are the last ones of the fantasy range that I'm missing. I hope to get them at FIGZ! ;-)
Greetings
Peter

Great conversions once again but I can't wait to see these assassins painted up.
