The original stands (HERE) were ok, but there was too many light cavalry types so...
Sir Niel Campbell (Niall mac Cailein )
John de Cameron - Clan Chief VII
Alexander de Seton who was with the english on the 1st day of the battle but crossed during the night and joined Robert´s Forces.
Alexander Fraser of touchfraser and cowie, Sheriff of Stirling.
The lack of Strelets nags with a caparison is leading to drastic measures, Cameron, Seton and Fraser all have converted nags. More on that later.
For those interested in medieval art, then Matthew Ryan´s Site is well worth a visit. Stunningly well detailed drawings of medieval soldiery
Very nice, great colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil. They look, IMHO, a lot more colouful than before.
DeleteVery nice Paul. Are you planning to game with them?
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon. Yes...aim is to get them all finished in the next couple of months and on the 700th anniversary they will be fighting the battle on the 23 - 24 june. The only Problem will be if at the very start, Bohun kills Robert de Bruce.
Deletevery nice figs !!
ReplyDeleteIf my eyes are good (?), the caparisons are home-made, right ?
very good conversions !
I've tried to do the same with Strelets horses, and it's not easy, especially when I've tried with a complete caparison including the neck and the head ...
Thanks mon Ami. The caparisons are home made ;-D A small "how to" coming soon.
DeleteThese look great
ReplyDeleteIan

ReplyDeleteLovely work, Mr. Bods.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking knights - love the heraldry!
ReplyDeleteI have some unwanted caparisoned horses - 100YW I think. If you are interested I could post them. Will scramble in the loft to see how many there are. No charge (maybe a charity contribution?). Really appreciate your modelling skills.
ReplyDeleteThanks Twmas. If the caparisoned nags are strelets then yes anything other makes aren´t allowed in this Project as it´s a personal challenge to see if i can actually create enough from only the strelets range of medievals at a Ration of 50:1
DeleteIf they are streletsthen only as a swop..although i do like the idea of a charitable contribution as an idea.
PS..you have no follower gadget on your blog? I´ve added you to my blog roll anyway :-D
Great colourfull cavalry! Nice flags to!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
