New Model Army Pt 5

A change from military types..a part of the Camp. Wether it will stay as a single stand or be re-based as part of a larger base..time will tell.

Both bods were part of the Imex Eastern friendly Indians set and have had a bit of scalpel work done on them.

Below, William during conversion. The head and hands are from the Zvezda Medieval Peasant Army set, which is turning out to be, along with the Airfix Robin Hood set, one of my favourites sources for conversions.

Note to self; Do something about the camera settings..the photos appear over lit.

  2. You are inspiring me to dig out a stalled medeival skirmish project and get back to work on it. I’d also not that my son (Norman, Junkyard planet blog) has made a lot of use of Airfix Robin Hood figures in conversions over the years. They are easier to get ahold of than the Zvezda revolting peasants…

    1. The set seems to have endless possibilities. Just as I think there´s no way I can get another conversion from them, up comes another.
Airfix is re-releasing the sets..and with the castle. original molds. One thing I would like them to do would be re-release the Medieval foot soldiers set downscaled to 1/72nd...but also as 1/32nd. Some decent conversion possibilities.
Better still would be if Italeri re-released it´s entire 1/32nd medieval range as well . I´d love to have a go at a 1/32nd medieval army.

    2. As seen on my blog, I’ve got a larger scale medieval force, but I chose in 2003 to build it with thr Accurate figures. While I love them, they are 1/35 and visibly small compared the the other medieval ranges out there, so expansions have been limited.
