Tower how to.

Quick and easy, you can knock out a 15cm tall tower in a couple of hours.
Some 3cm insulating board and a drill with a hole cutting set. best a set with fine teeth or bend the teeth flat, ie; they don´t stick out either side of the stel ring.
As this will be another "rapunzel" tower I´ve used ever decreasing sizes of discs. Behind the tower is some 5cm Blue insulating foam. The tower is made using another type of foam, a pinky white stuuf which is a bit harder than the blue sort.

The discs are then glued together using woodglue and cocktailsticks between each layer. Shave of the edges to give a flat surface and then sand it all smooth with sand paper.
Using a biro, mark in the stonework. Here I´ve used the blunt end of a pencil to push the foam back to give an "aged look"

The Rapunzel tower in the film has got plaster covered sides. To do this I´ve covered the areas outside of the stonework with woodglue and rolled the tower in sand.

When everything is dried  (this you can speed up by using a hairdryer) Paint :-D

"Rapunzel" Tower 1/72nd

A medieval fantasy scratch build. Pretty quick and easy because I simplified the design a bit.from the Film version and I wanted to test out a couple of new ideas to do with tower building, especially the roof construction.
I´ll build a second one but this time it will be more in line with the design represented in the Film and then one  like this  :-D

Medieval drunks

Another brilliant  new set from Alex...the way the bods are standing...that "slightly out of balance" way that drunks stand..:-D
There might be one or two poses added to the set but when it´s finished it will be available from Valdemar miniatures
A monk being tormented

One of the locals getting the boot.

What is he looking for ???
Hello Norman, from Junkyard Planet blog. I like the "technicals" for the Peoples republic of Mbotu ( formally known as Transequatoria ) and the seige wargame with the "moving"  trench system...excellent!!!

Town and Castle

The little folk of Styrow on the Fome woke one moring to find that not only had someone yet again re-arranged the layout of the village but a dirty great castle had appeared!!! This event will only fuel the fires of resentment after the terrible death of of the towns resident alchoholic, Alan Add-ale.
Someones going to  kick a Hugh Jarse for this!!

The Big Bang 4

The final episode.
After another long stay in ye olde hospital T.Omkins is ready to take on another mission. This time Bodkin and Bodger have hired in, at no expense spared, (which means they spared by paying no expenses), His holyness,  Grimwit the III.

According to some theological texts, the smaller that something is then the bigger it´s actions. It goes roughly along the lines of the how many angels on a pin head and such like. This was first cited by William Dikpeece in 1299, just before he choaked to death on a grain of sand. Following scholars have taken this event to be proof that Dikpeece was right.
( Don´t ask me!! I´m only recording this loonacy. )

Anyway , Grimmwitt has convinced Messers Bodkin and Bodger that if a grain of gunpowder is very finely cut into very tiny pieces and then cut yet many more times until there´s practically nothing there, then there will be a thing called an "Ey Tom". If this "Ey Tom" of gunpowder is then struck, it will, following the Dikpeece theory, give out a large amount of energy causing a loud bang, disproportionate to it´s size.

His Holyness Grimmwitt is now on hand to observe this "miraculous"  event.
Just look at him, what an ugly twit!!!!

The "Ey Tom" is placed on an anvil, T.Omkins raises Ye Holy  sledge hammer
In order to maximise thier profits to pay for this....Messers Bodkin and Bodger have sold ticktes to the event. It appears as if half the county has turned up. Funny though..I can´t seem to to able to see  Messers Bodkin and Bodger anywhere.
So, silence is called for as the test is about to begin.
3....2....1....ye holy hammer falls and.........
Oh dear!!!!, that must of hurt a lot of people!!.
I wonder where T.Omkins went???
Looks like that´s the end of him......

 or is it??

The Big Bang 3

Right!!! After even more costly armour repairs, hospital bills and haggling with the Ye Olde health and Safety, the go ahead has been given for one last attempt at launching the IIII. If this fails the King will withdraw the funds and the project will be scrapped.

T.Ompkins has finally got his laty backside out of intensive care,he was putting on weight anyway.
The Teeterboard has been specially strengthened by Arms Costumes and Military Acessories, and they guarantee it´s  unbreakability. Just a mo, A.C.M.E ? Sounds familiar somehow. Nevermind.

T.Ompkins takes up position and the countdown begins.....
3...2....1....he jumps!!
...and I don´t believe it !!!! It´s worked!!!!! Hurrah!!!
But, hang on..........what´s that whistling sound...??....
Oh!!!!!, that was a nasty crunching sound....!!!!!!!!!!!
Dam!!! Oh well, at least it looks as if T.Ompkins has been stunned by the blow so the resulting.......
............explosion won´t cause him that much pain.........at the moment.

The Big Bang 2

Ok...the last attempt was a failure. Not only did T.Ompkins land messers Bodkin and Bodger with a large medical bill..but the suit of armour was very expensive to replace.
Anyway...after a bit of thinking a new delivery method for the IIII has been found. Ye Olde Teeterboard

After three months of hospital treatment, T.Ompkins Stands ready to test launch the IIII. Everything has been calculated down to the last detail. An extra long fuse has been added in order to compensate for the flying time (and to please the Ye olde Health and safety) .

So....3....2....1...he jumps and.....
What the!!!!??....

DAMM!!!! Another costly hospital bill and a health and safety report to fill out!!!! I triplicate!!!!
