The original figure poses have that 18th century poser look. They look great especially how you have painted them. The original kneeling poses defy anatomy and gravity. (I've done it with the uniform and Brown Bess.) You have worked them in well with the rest of this nice little unit. Good "colors" too.
Thanks Scott. The ones kneeling with their legs stuck out to the front? They do look odd. I tried (without musket or uniform) to reproduce the pose..impossible but it looks quite "period" Cheers paul
Thanks Michael As AWI wasn´t my period I´d not really looked in any detail at the sets availablé. It´s not the most covered period but there are some nice sets there, including this one. I´ve had the idea of an Imagi-Nation in the back of my head for a while and your offer came at exactly the right time The natives are coming...soon :-D Cheers paul
I commented on your Bodstonia page as well Paul. These are nicely done as always and the loss of the hand in a sawmill accident whilst working is as noble to me as losing it in battle. The man still led his troops.
I quite like these - you've done a terrific job bringing out the character of the sculpts.
ReplyDeleteHot stuff!!
ReplyDeleteDo I spot a pun? :-D
