Another set of Romans exclusive to
Linear-b, this time, unlike the Roman Port set, none of the bods need "hiding" :-D

DeleteI hope they do more sets. Some workers carrying stuff would be a good one or rich folk and a stack of general citizen types (children as well) would be good.
They do look better sculpt than the last ones! I guess it was from the excitement...

DeleteSome don´t like the Strelets/Linear-b bods due to the style. They ain´t going to win any comps but they are fun, to piant and then there´s the fun of the challenge of populating a town with just them and setting up some normal and some silly situations. Gets the "conversions" head in gear.

DeleteThis seems to be a constant them with some producers, the difference in quality between sets. HaT has a suimilar "problem"ie; thier colonial range..the Indian troops look very clunky alongside say the scottish soldiers, but the style is almost the exact same....different sculptors or the same sculptor having a bad day?
Nice job on those figures Paul. How does Linear B match up with HaT?

DeleteThe don´t go that well together as a rule. The HaT bods tend to be a bit smaller ans finer sculpted, the strelets ones a bit bulkier. An exception is the Normans..they can be mixed well with the HaT El Cid sets and the diffrences aren´t immediately apparent.
This just makes me want to eat, get drunk and pee in a pot. Hang on...that's my plan for Thanksgiving!

DeleteI´m a big fan of civilians as well. Some people have said there are so few but with a bit of conversion you can get a lot of medieval civvies and some can be used for ancients and visa versa

DeleteIt is quite large..taking up more room than it should..some of it will have to go at some point, but it´s hard making a decision on what to scrap and what to keep.
