No specific Livery patterns to start with, I´ve got to get my eye in with this scale, so first off a group of levy archers. Later I plan to make up some household types in the livery of
John de Vere 13th earl of oxford. and then I´ll see what else takes my fancy.
They´re not based yet as I want to get some decent bases for them and not my usual homemade ones
Lovely! Perry's?

Thanks Simon.
ReplyDeleteYep, Perry´s. I´ve had them for just under 1 1/2 years now, painted half a dozen up and then got badly distracted. 3 of the archers were painted in june 2011!!!!

Very good looking minis Paul !
ReplyDeleteNice to see that you paint some 28´s to:)
Best regards Michael
Gorgeous work Paul, always impressed with your bow strings; you must be a very patient man.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing what the addition of a small detail like bowstrings does to the appearance and "feel" of a model. Very nice stuff.
ReplyDeleteGreat detail and great painting!
ReplyDeleteCheers
Hi, Paul: really good looking Archers.
ReplyDeleteAren't those nice? I like that there is some variation to the gear and poses so that the rank doesn't looked like drilled musketeers on parade.
ReplyDeleteGreat bowstring beauty and madness Paul.
ReplyDeleteexcellent job, really professional. I love the way you paint these figures!
ReplyDeleteGrowing up in scale Paul?
ReplyDeleteYour style remains unique and beautiful mate! :)
Thanks.

ReplyDeleteLovely group of bowmen Paul. I like their poses and colors.
ReplyDeleteVery nice indeed. Great colour choices and the bow strings are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSuper super work!
ReplyDeleteThanks all. At the moment I´m planning on painting up about 100 at the most...I´ll have to see how it goes alongside all the 1/72nd projects.
DeleteLovely job on these Paul, looking forward to seeing Oxford's boys.
ReplyDeleteThe bow strings look great, would you mind sharing your method with us please?
Thanks Pat.
DeleteIt looks, or rather appears more difficult than it is, just bristles from a 3" paintbrush glued on using liquid contact glue and then when fixed, snipped to length, there a how to here;
