Tried to make a copy of the model of a celtic chariot in the celtic museum in Hallein, Austria. It isn´t a 100% sucess but near enough.
The horses are from airfix as is the driver. the "beserker" is from the Italeri Celtic cavalry.
Thanks mate. I really like your Japanese bod with mule...I still cannot say so on your blog though, every bloody time I look my PC still crashes :-( Cheers paul
Thanks Tim...I also converted a couple of Airfix chariots a few years back....to make them look more "realistic" I might put up the pics if I am brave (or drunk) enough. Cheers paul
PS...I removed my previous comment due to atrocious spelling but how do I get rid of it completely??
Wonderful work - the detail on the chariot structure is partularly impressive for me. I certainly salute you for such dedicate to the (slightly) smaller scale of 1/72. Not sure I could go that far. Great to look at.
Great model!!!! I always loved the Hallein reconstruction. I would like such a model for my collection. Is there a possibility you could make another one on commission? Never mind the painting. This I could do myself. Thanks Philip

It's certainly more elegant than my old Airfix British chariots! Good work.

Nice ride, it looks the part, I know which job on the vehicle I would rather have!
ReplyDeleteWow
ReplyDeleteThat's all that needs to be said
Hey Paul, I hope the check is on the way? You made a very good copy ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've seen it live at Hallein, and you don't see before you come around the corner where it stands. It's scary you know ;-)
Nice work Paul,
ReplyDeleteCool Chariot in motion!

The rear charioteer and reins give it a lot of energy, but very subtly. As paulalba says, you can sense the motion.
ReplyDeleteCleverly done
