Airfix Waterloo Highland Infantry

Hurrah!!! Another set done. :-D

Officer and "bandies".  Obviously the noise was too much for one of them and he´s collapsed. The standard bearer..what a pain!!! The bloody flag is so heavy he keeps trying to headbutt the floor and needed a bit of wax under his base.  The original base for the Nag is long gone...a chunk from a broken RHA base has been recomissioned.

Firing line  (a bit  spread out) ...skateboarder on the far left

  1. They look great. Bright, clean colours and the tartan's done very well. You've put together some good scenes. Elf on foot in the bottom picture too.

  3. Is the drummer the son of the backpipe walla, as he looks jolly small?

Good to see this set again Paul and I think I've still got a few kicking around since my younger days of refighting Waterloo.

Could never decide if the standard was being lowered in defeat or raised in victory? Nice paint job that man.

  7. Nice work. I had that set too. Overall very good sculpts. I'm still amazed at what Airfix used to put out so long ago. Regards, Dean

  11. Amazing detail on the painting - the white contrast of the belts and straps on the uniforms is great.

  13. Lovely job on the jocks. Pretty decent figures for the age of them I believe.
