The Zvezda Catapult is a very nice bit of kit, a bit on the big side for 1/72nd but a great looking thing to have on the battlefield. Easy to build and paint, all it needed was the addition of a rope and finished.
When I first saw this on
PSR I thought "YUK!!" and when I bought the set (I only wanted the ladders and a couple of the bods) I still thought "YUK!" when I looked at it on the sprue. Anyway, I got a bit bored so just for fun, it got built and painted up. Turns out it doesn´t look that bad, apart from the fact that there is no roof, but that will get sorted soon.

Oh, and the wheels came from the Redbox Hussite Artillery set. |
Hello to
BigMike. Mike has a blog about quiting smoking called
Today I quit Smoking. His headline phrase is
"Quitting sucks, not quitting would suck more" I´m going to follow his progress...being a smoker myself, maybe it will give me the nudge to quit.
Пауль,это стаорый набор Звезды?Или уже новый?И чей это таран?
ReplyDeleteThey look nice and aged, nicely done.

oooooooooooooohhhhhh. Very realistic
ReplyDeleteLooks good Paul. If they r a bit "big" for 1/72nd would they work with GW's Lord of the Rings range? Thinking about doing a siege of Minas Tirith game
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely.
ReplyDeleteHey Paul,
ReplyDeleteI actually kinda like that battering ram...
And thanks for the shout out ;)
Very nice pieces. Like the way you handled that wood. Very realistic
ReplyDeletetwo very nice looking models, especailly the catapult!
ReplyDeletePaul, smoking does suck...I smoked 2 packs a day like forever, the only way I quit was I had my gaulbladder exploded and was in the hospital for 2 weeks, couldnt smoke...that was 9 years ago, never wanted one since. If you can go 3 days you can quit forever. Great catapult by the way.
ReplyDeleteThe ram has a 'knocked up cheaply out in the wilds' look so not too bad. You've made them look pretty too.
