Finally, both sets finished :-D Cars from various makers
Cops and robbers
Law abiding citizens
Not so law abiding citizens
"Don´t call me Scarface" or "Alcapone don´t argue"
Ma Baker and gang or granny defending her home and bounty hunters
Babyface Nelson (or machine Gun Kelly) and Accomplice
Hoodlums with Moll

Great looking figures, I'd hate to think how much your collection is worth??? I bet the Mrs doesn't!!!
ReplyDeleteThat cop isn't O'Grady, but Officer Krupke from West Side Story :-D
ReplyDeleteGreat painted figures Paul!

100 points for grandma and her gun. :-D
ReplyDeleteNice work! That one fellow really does look like Baby Face Nelson.
ReplyDelete"Sergeant O`Grady and the boys" - must be my long-lost great grandfather!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely work Paul, the backdrop really set the scene beautifully.
ReplyDeleteOld New York? - whatever next!
ReplyDeleteGreat work, especially considering this is 20mm.
ReplyDeleteGreat figures and photography. Any specific rules you intend to use
ReplyDeleteGreat figures as usual. What's getting spooky now is that the day after I look at a set, they magically appear on your site. Beautifully painted and photographed of course.
ReplyDeleteGreat work mate!
ReplyDeleteAlongside the photos of the background, they look very realistic!
Bravo Paul!
T.
These are fun figures and the backdrop presents them well. Does any other country than the US of A have a colorful "underworld" that movies are mad about? I've seen photos of Europeans dressed up like gangsters the way they dress up like American cowboys.
ReplyDeleteGreat work Paul. The painting , the setting, the figures, jusy wonderful.
ReplyDeleteDamn nice set up and painting, would like to do this era myself.
ReplyDeleteGreat figures and a great job bringing them to life. Almost makes me wonder what they'd look like in a black and white paintjob seeing them like that, and they are going on my list. The coppers look like New York City ones but the gangsters are mostly Chicago ones. The Chicago PD wear a black/white checkerboard pattern on the hatband, although I'd have to look into historical dates for that to be sure. Many of these gunfights happened just down the street from where I live, including Nelson, Dillinger, etc. (And still do)
ReplyDeleteNicely done. Probably alot easier to find die cast cars that look right for 20mm than it is for my 28mm figures.
ReplyDeleteMa looks mean and determined!
ReplyDeleteHi Paul I have just bought the Red Box Gangsters set myself. I was wondering where you found the Ma Baker figure in your collection. I haven't got her with my Red Box Gangsters set. could you please let me know which setthe figure came with, thanks Neil
ReplyDeleteHi Niel. Ma Baker Comes with the redbox set Policemen and Citizens http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=1861
DeleteNice paintjob! I've linked your work in my article about the Redbox Gangsters. https://alkony.enerla.net/english/the-nexus/miniatures-nexus/miniature/miniature-figure/modern-gangster-in-1-72-scale-gangster-2-from-the-gangsters-set-from-redbox-miniature-figure-review
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that the images are missing now.
