Norman shield wall

Made up using bods from Strelets sets and the HaT El Cid spanish Infantry set. The Strelets bods are due to holding thier shields to the front, good for creating the centre of the wall and the HaT bods, holding thier shields to the left or right can be used to close the flanks.

The right and left flanks

  2. So the right flank of a shield wall just faced right, not swapped their shields to the right hand. Looks great.

  4. Looks fantastic. Sure beats DBx/WRG basing where four figures on a 60mm by 20mm base represents a close ordered body of spearmen.

Not that I'm going to pull mine apart, you understand!

    Well done!

  6. Good idea with the mixed figures to hold the flanks. By the way, I was wondering how often you get to play with the figures?
