Swiss Halbardiers (Lucerne)

Part two of the New swiss army..the halbardiers. Also created By Frank Ziegler and available Here.
Great news is, there are more sets on the way, (each a set of 6 bods)
1, Front rank, armoured with lance at chest height
2. Front rank, armoured with lance held at an angle
3. Front rank, armoured with  lances at the ready ready
Further rows of unarmoured Halbardiers and also Musicians advancing !!!! :-D
All excellent news but the most impressive is the musicians, an often forgotten subject in 1/72nd medievals
 Now all 4 sets, hallbardiers and Pikes together..right..where are those burgundians!!?

    I quite like these figures - the earlier pike too. They've got a realistic sense of animation to them.

    These are very like the surviving depictions of late medieval Swiss! - the designer has done his homework once again!

      Exactly..I´ve been looking for pics..I know there are some that are the same style as the sculpts but I can´t find any..BooHoo!! Any links?

    Lovely figures, beautifully painted as usual. How well do these match size-wise with the Miniart Swiss?

      Good question, and I should have done a pic of the two next to each other. Style / detail wise, Frank´s are way superior to the miniart ones. Size wise, they are a head smaller than the miniart ones. As far as I can see, there would be no way to mix them, the styles and size differences are too great.
