Pirates (Orion)

A mean bunch of Pirates led by "capn" Jack Dore.
I´ve slightly converted a couple from the original poses, the bod digging now is part of the gun crew, and I shortened the hair on the female being taken prisoner.
This lot will take up life in the world of Bodstonia...well,  maybe the skeleton won´t take up life there... :-D
The females in the crew.
The cannon is a two piece thing and the barrel looks a bit long but it´s still a nice piece.
They seem pretty successful..loads of treasure and grog.
"Capn" Jack Dore
"ARRRH me hearties!"
Confusedly looking for buried treasure
What is he doing!? Blowpipe? A straw for sneaking ale from the barrel?
The winner of the "shove the barrel along the ground whilst laying on your back" comp and the looser.
 fffff

  1. Paul,

These look much better painted than the slightly crude castings. The "captured" female could make a good dancer or cheering woman rather than a captive in pain. Good choice.

  6. I'll be raising a bottle of rum to me lips to honor the fair (and not so fair) women of the crew! The poor sod that lost the barrel rolling contest-I'll open a second bottle in his memory!

  7. And now you just need a ship for them to sail on. And if the pirates have a ship then, of course, the Royal Navy will need a ship to chase them in. And it goes without saying that you will need to paint up the crew and the Marines. You better get started!

    1. They already have one ship..but another may have to be constructed for the navy bods to get after them.

    1. It is a pretty odd pose...it looks either like a blowpipe or a drinking straw..I can´t work out what he´s supposed to be doing..

  21. There is still an island in the Pacific with descendants of men like these, left over from the Bounty. They speak an 18th century style of English there to this day full of pirate slang and other quaint expressions. Unfortunately the replica HMS Bounty sank yesterday in the hurricane with loss of two lives.
