Marshall Law

Marshall law (spot the pun?) and his crew of deputies, the Grave diggers.  These guys have to be tough to  carry out thier role of keeping law and order in Toi Town.

These are 1/72nd Hong Kong versions of the 1/32nd Scale Airfix Cowboys. A bit of fun, so they´ve been given a bit of a Hollywood style paintjob.
Why Airfix has never released them in 1/72nd scale I don´t know. "Downsizing" or "Upsizing" bods isn´t a difficult thing and they could release all thier old  sets in both 1/32nd and 1/72nd, like the
Medieval Knights , the American Indians, and the excellent Infantry support group to name a few.
The whole crew in front of the sheriff´s Office.

"When a man with a .45 meets a man with a rifle, the man with a pistol will be a dead man. That's an old Mexican Proverb...and it's true"
When the man with a 45 meets the man with a rifle, you said the man with a pistol is a dead man...Let's see if it's true".
Marshall law. Always dressed in black as he has a lot of funerals to attend

Only these 5 though. I´ve got more but they are really in bad shape..loads of flash and big mold location holes in them. I´ve got nearly all the Native americans though :-D

  5. Great paint job. I have some myself. These are really fun to paint. I also agree it is indeed sad that Airfix did not bring them out in 20mm scale. Hollywood style??? Who cares...

The yellow plastic this lot were cast in was putting me off painting them but they aren´t as bad as I first thought. I´ll have to get my mits on the rest of them..someday.

  11. A bit of a departure for you Paul, but a good one. Like the attitude and the colours on these boys.

At the moment the muse for medievals has gone..so it´s anything that takes my fancy at the moment..anything in the stash that is..money is too tight for new stuff.

  12. As always truly inspirational, but with all this prolific output, just where and how do you store and display tham all?

Storage is becoming a bit of a problem. First they were stored in dispaly cabinets, but that soon oveflowed, then shelves, small cabinets and about 20 stackable card boxes, the dios and houses are in big storage boxes, but they overflowed and now plastic stackable boxes, so far 12 of them (plus all the previous cabinets, card boxes etc) and I need at least another 4 plastic boxes to take the new additions and the WIP 28mm medievals.

  13. Those are great! A little small for the buildings I have been working on but they are very tempting none the less!

  16. Hey Paul,

Love your site...been an admirer for some time.
Can you tell me where you acquired these cowboys. I've been amassing all the wild west 1/72 I can find and would love to add these to the mix - "Cactus Gulch" could always use a new sheriff!

I got them from a "lucky dip" box at a model show in Herne, loads of odd stuff dumped in a boy and you sort through for them. I´ve seen them sold quite frequently on E-Bay. I´ll be going to Herne in march next year..if you can wait and want them then I can dig some out for you.
