17th century farmsteads - Finished

With a new house, a Hay barrack and some other  bits and pieces (all scratchbuilt)  added.

First off, all grouped together as a small farming community.
 Now as individual Farmsteads (as originally planned)
House with vegetable / Herb garden
Cabbages made with green crepe paper
The "Woodcutters" house
Barn with Hay Barrack and Wagon
The "Bakers" House with bread oven

Buildings - Card with clay roofs
Fences/ladders/surrounds for the raised beds  - Coffee stirrers and lolly sticks
The Cabbages - green crepe paper
Bean Poles and Logs - Bits of birch twig
Wagon - Thin Card and strips of Wood.
Hay - Plumbers thread
Moss - Bits of rubber foam (that was left outside in the rain etc  to go green)
Bakers oven - Clay

  1. My word Paul, these look superb, the photographs have a spooky feeling to them, possibly the absence of people, but very cool nonetheless.

      Funnily enough, spooky was the effect I was after...along the lines of the "Witch" film. I took a couple "along the road" shots with bods but it looked too cosy, so I took them out and retook the pics, then put them into sepia..but decided against using them..I should have kept them

      The total so far, Medieval /Imagi-nation themed, 44, the target is 70 but that keeps getting added to as I find other "nice" subjects to create.

    1. Merci.
      The cabbages were suprisingly easy to make...take a bit of crepe paper, make a small roll, Twist it in the middle until the two sides part, which then gives two potential cabbages. Snip the untwisted side into a rough "cabbage" shape and using tweezers, push the twisted end into the "vegetable bed" (it´s made of foam core)
