I´ve probably painted the flag the wrong way up or something but it´s a set finished so I am happy :-D
How many hours did I spend lining this lot up to oppose the Brits and scotts?...Too many judging by my lack of a suntan in photos as a nipper.
At least you can get out more as an adult and aren't chained to the minis these days... right? Our hobby probably doesn't give us as much time for the great outdoors as we might like. Oxygen is one of the sacrifices we make..!
These probably the most memorable Airfix set of the many I had as a kid. Love them a lot and they probably had a lot to do with my interest in the hobby. I'm still surprised at the raised buttons on their lapels and gaiters - they were easier to paint than some modern 28mm stuff. Regards, Dean
This was a lovely set by Airfix. I was never sure about the guy stabbing "crouching about with knees bent behaviour" ... some kind of French taunt. I must photograph mine and get them posted.
Very nice especially the white on them.
ReplyDeleteI see the bloke in the foreground has already met the Highlanders...

ReplyDeleteThe soldier lying down must be a footballer trying to get the other team a red card.
