The bod came from The Kindersuprise LOTR series.
Before.................................................................. |
...............................................................and After |
The base on the second version was created, made and supplied by Stephane of Dr Willets Workshop.
He´s made some very nice little scenic bases which I can highly recommend. I haven´t done it the justice it deserves. Anyway, you can see his full range of Medieval town Bases, HERE
What big eyes you have?
ReplyDeleteNice paint job Paul and good little fig.
Nice idea with the rework and nice painted! Hmm, I guess I´ve got Legolas from this LOTR Series from Kindersurprise. Perhabs I should try it myself?
ReplyDeleteThanks..
ReplyDeleteNot the best paint job I´ve ever done. Mind you, before he had a bit of a look of, son of the incredible hulk about him (TV series)
Now he just looks like an 80´s New wave band member :-D
Cheers
Paul
Much better! There could be a career at Kinder in this. How quickly can you turn them out?
ReplyDeleteExcellent paint job. What a difference compared to the original. Do Kinder do figures for all the Fellowship?
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done, a real improvement there, good work and all the crappy chocolate you can eat.
ReplyDelete:-D Thanks
ReplyDelete@Fran...The chocolate is pretty crappy...a bit like chewing a plastic bag...not that I have or would recommend doing that!!! Eat 6 of them in a row and you feel well dizzy!!!
@Porky...for a not too bad paintjob like that..?..about 1/2 an hour per bod, if I was doing 4-5 at once.
@Kingsley...they do...and I got the lot..(and about two stone heavier) including gandalf on shadowfax (sounds rude or???) and treebeard.
Cheers
Paul
Good paint, it looks much better. I know that look you went for, it's me after a pub crawl where I got muppetized on more than several pints of cider and I'm deep into the clutches of terminal curry deprivation. I wonder where in Mordor you can get a get a decent Ork Vindaloo?
ReplyDeleteLOL..:-D Here must be Mordor then. There´s no decent curryhouses and no cider either :-(
ReplyDeleteCheers

I'm so glad to find your blog. I'm stopping by from the "A to Z" challenge. I have so much respect and admiration for people with this skill. The steady hand and patience involved elude me, but I still enjoy looking at the work of others. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Up. That mini must be pretty big to fit on the base like that. Still pretty good considering where it's coming from.
ReplyDeleteVery nice re-paint. Regards, Dean
ReplyDeleteNice job, definitely an improvement on the shiny shiny. I love kinder chocolate, my precious!
ReplyDeleteSo you ate the chocolate also Paul, and not your kids. What you do, to get some figures :-D
ReplyDeleteNice paintconversion Paul. I hope the rest will follow.
Greetings
Peter
Not sure 4-5 an hour is fast enough. The nippers these days really get through them. Oh well, one less chance to get caught working for the man - a celebration is in order! Maybe some of that Ork vindaloo.
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Ha little hobbit feet.
ReplyDeleteMuch improved!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Frodo mini is one a friend gave me years ago- it's a clear plastic Frodo for when Frodo puts on the ring.. fastest mini I ever painted ;)
Wow! nice work!
ReplyDeleteI can't keep track of what's the difference between orcs and ents but I liked the way the tree-like ents would talk.
