Let's see. I hear guns and breaking glass. At Benno's I said "The Wild Bunch", but that was wrong. So another guess "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"?
It works from here :-(...and my laptop :-( Bloody thing has caused me too many headaches..I shall have to give up my career as a film director :-D I shall now go and get drunk!!! :-D @Mike...green berets..also no :-D It´s got no bolt action weapons in it though. Happy new year Cheers paul
If it's not 'Saving you know who' (the realistic ricochets) could it be the suprise Russian hit of a few years ago...'Company Something' or (Something Company?)...set during the withdrawl from Afghanistan in '89?
Ok...Hugh..you got bloody close mate..the 9th Company it was not but it´s so similar you deserve 5 points but Paul get the full 10 points..BHD. It´s the bit where they start to move towards the helicrash (the only bit in the film with no annoying background musik..or it´s so quiet as to be unhearable) Cheers Paul
I half expected to see a plasticky explosion as a banger went off inside it! (or was that just me who did such terrible things to my poorly fitting together Airfix D-Day Assault Set Stug, as a teenager!) Those darned bogie wheels just would not fit on!
Oh yeah, nice! If you put this effect into a wargame, in my opinion you'll win the "major award!"
ReplyDelete:-)
ReplyDeleteJust a guess, Cross of Iron.
ReplyDeleteMark
Not cross of iron mark :-)

Kelly's Hero's???? Shame about the T34, but in the line of duty
ReplyDeleteI got the same message as Ray, but the title does make me think "Kelly's Heroes."
ReplyDeleteEither way, have a Happy New Year Paul!
Kelly´s Heroes..nope :-D
ReplyDeletehappy new year
Paul
Well, no idea about the soundtrack. A clue maybe?
ReplyDeleteHappy new year to you and your fantastic blog
A clue??? Er?..there are no bolt action rifles in the film :-D
ReplyDeleteHappy new year
Paul
Ah, and there I was going to suggest 'Where Eagles Dare'
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, blog video link didnt work. Tried your shortcut, and got 5 seconds of video and a warning from McAfee security of a risky site!
Thought you should know! - Happy New Year Paul!
Dunno - I viewed it once, but on my laptop I couldn't hear anything that even sounded like a film melody. Next moment the video was gone???
ReplyDeleteWhatever - all the best for 2012, Paul!
My next guess is The Green Berets.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year

Paul
Given that clue, I'll change my answer to Heartbreak Ridge
ReplyDeletePlatoon...US Army instead of USMC...?
ReplyDeleteHeartbreakridge and Platoon..nope. The US army is involved. Yarik (Yarik Miniatures) is hilding one of the weapons used by the opposition.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Paul
Okay then Hamburger Hill, or Blackhawk Down?
ReplyDeleteIf it's not 'Saving you know who' (the realistic ricochets) could it be the suprise Russian hit of a few years ago...'Company Something' or (Something Company?)...set during the withdrawl from Afghanistan in '89?
