Thanks chaps :-D @Sean..great minds think alike :-D @Andrew. The officer will become a character in the Bodstonian world..he looks way too overdressed to stay as a artillery officer. Cheers Paul
Btw the 1/72 equivalent of the 28mm Eureka 'Sandras' now exist: 3D models (not using 3D printing, so no hope of 28mm versions, unfortunately) (who issued previously the 3 'French beauties') does have in 1/72 female 'Napoleonic' soldiers who indeed are better suited for the 'tricorne' era. Don't know how the 'marching infantry' is sold, hope it's not by a "officer + standard-bearer + drummer + single private" set!
It always surprises me that 1/72 plastics look better, are better proportioned, that many 28mm metals!
ReplyDeleteThese last two look great. It is also weird how right when I start thinking about a project you come up with the very models within a week.
ReplyDeleteNice colors, very good job on a 'Great' set (I especially loved painting the officer myself)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this project already; must be the tricorns! Lovely work Paul.
ReplyDeleteLovely work as always, Paul; the cannon is especially nice. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteYep nice painting as always, you have the bit in yur teeth I see

ReplyDeleteFantastic work there Paul, the faces are really characterful

Absolutely stunning and smart looking figures.
