Ancient Germans

This lot are from Germania-Figuren and are the set "Marching Germans (Varus Battle)"
Provisionally based and I haven´t given them thier spears as they are going to go in the post at some point to take up residence on a dio....which will appear at Heiden

These also have really good faces..well worth spending a bit of time over
My favourite shot of the line up

Hello to Soldado 38  He´s done a cracking little army...The Nutcracker....excellent idea and really well done.:-D

    1. Thanks all.
I´ve "discoverd" a new way of painting faces..especially the eyes and I´ve just about worked out how I can repeat the process every time..of course the bods need decent faces to start with, but I´ll test is on a "bog standard" bod soon.

    1. Thanks Anne.
The dio isn´t mine...I´m just painting them for someone who will use them on a dio. Hopefully I´ll see them again in october in place on the dio.

  6. Are these plastic, Paul, or 20mm metal? Lots of character in the figs, and you've done solid work bringing it out.

    1. Thanks Michael.
I wish I could have got a couple more decent photos of the faces, especially the one top photo far left...but no matter what seting or light I used it didn´t come out even half decent.

  11. Wow, they look great!
They remind me of a stonemason-work just around the corner where I work:

  12. Nice work, Paul. I really like them, but if I was a Roman legionnaire then they would scare me silly. Well done. Ditto what others have said ref the faces.
