ReplyDeleteA note on the uniforms though, the marines are actually a naval landing party, all strictly sailors.
The marines wore an almost identical uniform to the infantry, albeit in royal blue with red collar facings.
The light horse are wearing the uniforms of the imperial mounted infantry.
The light horse wore dark blue, yellow and brown tunics and trousers in any order, wide brim hats with a red band.
