The entire Tumbling Dice Anglo Saxon Army*
Huscarls to the front and centre
My entire Anglo Saxon Army - so far as the Strelets Housecarls of King Harold set bods are not yet painted.
TD, Strelets and Emhar. 93 foot and 11 mounted.
Left wing
Centre with reserve behind.
Right wing
*without using repeat poses from the sets.
That's a pretty impressive ensemble and only reinforces an earlier comment about TD not using photos for many of its ranges.
ReplyDeleteI am sorely tempted by these to try a small project, e.g. using the figures for the 'Battle Ravens' shield-wall game which doesn't need that many figures and gives a small but interesting looking game (rules free online).
Thanks Rob. TBH, they are a joy to paint. The detail is just enough, the sizes are consistant across the range, virtually no flash on any of the sets and the little there is, is thin and easily removed.
DeleteThanks for the tip on the Battle ravens game.
one word: magnificent
ReplyDeleteLove the Danish Blues, sorry a bit cheesy.😉
ReplyDeleteGreat job sir! Now we know they actually looks like! S pity that there are no miniatures in 1/72 or 20 mm in Sutton-Hoo or other archetypic vendelic helm!
ReplyDeleteA spectacular and splendid collection, lovely colors and awesome job Paul...
ReplyDeleteVery impressive Sir!
